Amanda Baker


Speech-Language Pathologist

Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and later went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario.  In addition to working in private practice, where she values client-centered treatment plans and engaging children through therapeutic play, Amanda also currently works for the Toronto District School Board on their Autism Team.  Working in a collaborative setting alongside Occupational Therapists, Psychologist, Social Workers, Teachers, ABA Facilitators, Training Assistants and Child and Youth Counsellors, Amanda provides effective and appropriate classroom-based strategies for children with ASD.

Additional Training: Hanen Certified therapist with training in Learning Language and Loving it, Target Word and It Takes Two to Talk. ABA training through Surrey Place Centre. Certified in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). 

Special Interests: receptive and expressive language, social thinking and social communication, Autism Spectrum Disorders, AAC and literacy.
